Macrossans Lawyers are committed to making a positive contribution to the community. Two major ways we are doing this is by sponsoring our chosen charity Guide Dogs Queensland and by providing pro bono legal advice. We believe that giving pro bono advice to the disadvantaged is part of fulfilling our professional and social responsibility. Pro bono work is a matter of personal choice, with many of our lawyers sharing our commitment and donating their personal time to help disadvantaged individuals, local charities and not-for-profit organisations including Caxton Legal Centre. Below are some of the organisations that we support. Guide Dogs QueenslandMacrossans Lawyers' major charity is Guide Dogs Queensland (GDQ), with various Partners actively supporting GDQ for nearly 20 years. We are dedicated to helping GDQ achieve its goal of assisting vision-impaired Queenslanders in gaining greater mobility. GDQ aims to do this providing clients with the aids and skills necessary to live independent lives, and ensuring public places are equipped with the infrastructure and information they require to engage with the community. Our support includes financial sponsorship for fundraising activities such as GDQ's Outlook Newsletter, and annual events like Dinner with a Difference, the Paw Knock Appeal and the Brisbane Big City BBQ. We also provide pro bono advice on a wide variety of commercial matters including business structuring, bequests and the registration of trademarks. For further information on how you can support GDQ, please visit www.guidedogsqld.com.au. Pro Bono WorkMacrossans Lawyers provides free legal advice and representation to eligible individuals, charitable and not for profit organisations including:
In the last two years, our alliance partner Hunt & Hunt has also donated to over 20 Australian charities, including UNICEF, National Breast Cancer Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Make a Wish Foundation, Kids Help Line and World Vision.
